Children at Aurrum Kids Penrith are constantly kept busy by our art classrooms brimming with craft supplies, cooking lessons, bike track, water and creek play area, climbing equipment and our sustainability hub. All of our activities are designed to provide children with a tactile and safe early childhood learning environment that inspires them to embrace their natural curiosity and love of learning, while also building lasting friendships with the other children.
Culture
The rich cultural history of Penrith is reflected amongst the Aurrum Kids team and students. We organise numerous cultural celebrations throughout the year, giving the children an opportunity to learn about their friends’ cultures and celebrate their traditions beside them.
Community
Our commitment to community engagement and partnerships is a key part of our philosophy of holistic development. We cultivate meaningful relationships with local organisations, schools and community groups to enhance our learning curriculum. Our community initiatives include a range of exciting activities such as visits from local heroes, interactive incursions and excursions, and visits to local primary schools to support the children’s transition into their next stage of education.
Nutrition
Aurrum Kids Penrith’s on-site cook prepares fresh meals daily in our purpose-built kitchen. As nutrition plays a fundamental role in nurturing children’s growth and development, our rotating childcare menu is produced in collaboration with our partner paediatric dietitians. The children also regularly participate in cooking their own meals with the assistance of our cook. Our cooking classes allow children to learn about the importance of nutritious and balanced meals, while also having plenty of fun in the kitchen.
